Long" by Fances Long Taylor, found in Carnegie Library, Atlanta, GA, "Samuel Long, his son James (wife: Ann Williamson) and James Jr. came from Pennsylvania and settled in Madison County, GA in 1788. They spent one year in Abbeville, SC, raised a crop, after learning of hostile Creek Indian raids on white settlements in GA, but came on to Madison County in 1788 where they were in the flour milling business."
