Charles H. Clucas, 76, of Richfield, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2004, with his family around him, at Akron General Medical Center.



Born Oct. 16, 1927, in Seven Hills Ohio, Chuck was an entrepreneur, inventor, family man, businessman, and a member of the Richfield Masonic Temple. He served in the Pacific Theatre in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, was a real estate broker for many years, and owned Automotive Care Emporium with his sons in Portage Lakes for many years. He traveled the country when the boys were young teaching them hunting, fishing, and camping, and was a Boy Scout leader.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Harvey; his wife, Mildred; and his infant grandaughter, Katherine Markley. He leaves his wife of 16 years, Deanna Ricki; sons, Craig of Portage Lakes, Charles (Chip) of Green; stepchildren, Bill (Melanie) Johnson of Toledo, Marci (John) Markley of Munroe Falls, Debbie (Colin) Reboul of Medina; grandchildren, Rhiannon Hutchison Cortney Clucas; stepgrandchildren, Shawna, Amber, Alex, Kellie, Nathan, Rebecca, Elizabeth, and Abigail; six great-grandchildren. He also leaves brother, Harvey (Lucy), and sisters, Betty Cermak of Westlake and Carol (Claude) Kendall of Springfield, Tenn. He also leaves behind his loyal dog, King.

The family the all of the doctors and staff at AGMC and Copley Health Center for their compassionate care over the last year. Funeral announcements later. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 330-867-4141.)
