In loving memory of Dorothy Lee Hockman. Dorothy was born on August 3, 1924 in Palmer, Nebraska to William M. Weber and Mary Amanda Geherty Weber. She graduated from Palmer High School and attended Manhattan Bible College, where she met and married Warren E. Hockman on January 1, 1944. Dorothy died on May 24, 2003 in Oklahoma City. She is survived by her husband of 59 yrs, Warren Hockman of Oklahoma City, daughter Patricia and son-in-law Donald Penny of Arlington, TX; son, Gary Hockman and daughter Linda Hockman of Oklahoma City; grandson, Jason and granddaughter in law Tiffany Barkley of Arlington, TX. Dorothy is preceded in death by her father, mother, two sisters, two brothers, daughter Mary Ellen Hockman and daughter Janet Kay Hockman Ward. A wife, mother and homemaker, her dedication to her family and God gave her an amazing energy, determination and drive. Her greatest love was spending time with her family and friends. Through the life threatening illnesses of two daughters and her husband, her spirit and faith never wavered. Her loving and caring ways have always been an example and inspiration to everyone she touched. As a minister's wife for 55 years, she dedicated her heart, soul, mind and body to her family and God. We will surely miss her gentle touch, her kind heart and her radiant smile. The family would like to thank the family at the Westwood Church of Christ, the staff of the Fountains at Canterbury and Vista Hospice for their help and compassion. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, May 28th, 2003 at the Westwood Church of Christ, Edmond, Okla.
