News/Obit 1 March 1962  WILBUR L. STANTON

Funeral services will be held at 8 p. m. Thursday in a funeral home in Cleveland for Wilbur L. Stanton, 72, former Newark resident. Burial will be made in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newark at 1 p. m. Friday.

Mr. Stanton, who left Newark a number of years ago. died Wednesday in Cleveland Clinic Hospital of complications resulting from an asthmatic condition.

For the past 20 years he had been the operator of the Stanton Hotel, 1949 E. 93rd St., Cleveland, where he lived. He was born in Newark, the son of Owen and Mary Jane (Decker) Stanton. For a number of years, the family home was in 68 N. Morris St., at the corner of Lawrence St.

Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Roy Shirer of Lakewood and a nephew, J. Donald Shirer of Olmsted Falls.
