    Mrs. Rosa A. Mock, wife of S. A. Mock, died Friday morning April 17, at 2 o;clock from dropsy and heart disease at her home near Norwich. She was the mother of 13 children, two of whom preceded her to the grave. The remaining children are Charles W. of New Concord; Daniel I. of Newton, Kan.; William T. of Harmony, Ill.; Edward I. of Newark; Clement S. of Lovington, Ill.; Mrs. Carrie Denny, Mrs. Nora Bebout and Mr. Colbert M. of Zanesville; Mrs. Helen Smith of Salt Creek, and Miss Ada, and Clay M. of the home. She leaves two brothers and four sisters, Mrs. Jacob Hanks, of Ottawa, Kan.; Mrs. Washington Winn of Arthus, Ill.; Mrs. George Hardy and Mrs. A. A. Davis, of near Bethel Church; John R. Bowden of Adamsville; and Albert D. of near Zanesville. Mrs. Mock was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Bowden, and she was born near Bethel Church June 21, 1841. She was 63 years, 9 months, and 21 days old when the summons came. She was an active member of the M. E. church all her life. She will be greatly missed by a host of friends.



    The funeral services were held at the M.E. church at Norwich at 10 o'clock Sunday morning. The Rev. R. J. Heard, the pastor, assisted by Rev. J. T. Jennings. The remains were taken to Bethel church where short services were held, after which they were laid to rest in the Bethel cemetery.
