News/Obit 15 June 1915  Obituary,
DEATH OF MRS. HARLEY BOWDEN
Funeral at M.E. Church and Re-
mains Laid to Rest in New
Hope Cemetery

Mrs. Harley Bowden, whose death was mentioned in the Register last week, was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Wisecarver and was born in Salem township October 17, 1895. September 21, 1913, she was married to Harley Bowden, youngest son of J. R. Bowden, and to this union two children were born, Helen, aged a little over one year and an infant son about two weeks old.

Mrs. Bowden was a woman beloved by all who knew her. She possessed a kind, gentle, cheerful disposition which made her an agreeable companion, and filled her home with sunshine and love. Her death in early womanhood and motherhood makes doubly sad her removal from her home and loved ones.

The deceased is survived by her husband and two children; her father and three brothers and three sisters. Her two young children will be given a home with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Bowden.

Impressive funeral services were conducted Thursday forenoon in the Adamsville M. E. church by Rev. E. V. Ault. After the services the remains were taken to the cemetery at the New Hope Lutheran church for interment. H. E. Shirer had charge of the burial.

Appeared in The Adamsville Register, 15 Jun 1915
