Charley Buker, who was taken to the Epileptic Hospital at Gallipolis, O., last June, died at that institution last Thursday night of epileptic fits. His mother, Mrs. Anna Buker, of near this place, reached his bedside about one hour before his death. His remains were brought to Zanesville, where J. W. Shirer, the efficient undertaker of this place, took charge of them and brought them to the home of his mother east of town.
The deceased was over 20 years of age and had been an invalid nearly all his life. When a small boy he had a sever sickness of scarlet fever which deprived him of his mental faculties, and left him a great charge upon his family. In this condition he grew to manhood, when it was found necessary to place him in some intitution for treatment and protection.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. H. H. Bachman Friday afternoon at the New Hope Lutheran church and the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery at that place.
The bereaved family have the sympathy of the entire community.
