Township answers the Final
Summons

Mrs. George F. Hardy died at her home in Highland township, Saturday afternoon, Nov. 1, 1919, of asthma and heart trouble, from which she had been suffering for the past year, although not seriously sick until about two weeks ago.

Mrs. Harriet E. Hardy was the daughter of Daniel Bowden and was born in Salem township, Nov 10, 1846, and was nearly 78 years of age at the time of her death. Dec. 17, 1868, she was married to George F. Hardy and to this union were born four children, two sons and two daughters. All survive their mother and are: Mrs. Arthur Sandel, of Monroe township; Chester O. Hardy and Grover C. Hardy, of Highland township, and Mrs. Clyde Vinsel, of Zanesville. Her husband also survives, and one brother and sister; A. D. Bowden, of Zanesville, and Mrs. A. A. Davis, of Norwich Route 1.

Mrs. Hardy was a member of the Bethel M. E. church and a woman of many commendable virtues. She was active in the affairs of the community in which she lived and was admired and respected by a large circle of friends. She will be greatly missed in the neighborhood in which she lived.

Funeral services will be conducted today in the New Hope Lutheran church by Rev. E. V. Ault, of West Bellaire, Ohio, a former pastor of the Adamsville circuit, M. E. church, the funeral cortege leaving the home at 10 o'clock a.m. The remains will be interred in the New Hope cemetery in the family burying ground.
