Troth With Mr. Hartman


    Miss Linda parry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Billy K. Parry of Dillon Falls, became the bride of Eugene Hartman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Burl Hartman of 485 McCONNELL Avenue, in a double ring ceremony solemnized Saturday at First Christian Church. Rev Charles Spangler was the officiating minister at the wedding which took place at 7:30 pm. Mr. Parry walked to the altar with his daughter and gave her in marriage. A empire gown of white satapeau with Schiffli embroidered bodice was worn by the bride. It was designed with high neckline and full bishop sleeves. Venice lace edged the cuffs and the hemline. The detachable chapel length train was also trimmed with lace and the embroidery. She wore a floral headpiece with three-tiered veil and carried red roses and white pompons in a cascade Bogue. Her sister Miss Diana Parry was maid of honor. She wore red velvet with empire waistline and stand-up collar. The bodice and sleeves were accented with white lace and she carried a heart - shaped Bouquet of white pompons and red carnations. The bridesmaids were Miss Valli Rusk and the Misses Peggy and Heidi Hartman, sister's of the bridegroom. Their gowns and bouquets were identical to the maid of honor's. Robert Hartman, brother of the bridegroom was best man. Serving as ushers were Dan Twyman, Donnie Ullman and Carl Donelson, a cousin of the bride. The reception followed in the church social room. Assistants were Miss Joan Armbrust of Columbus, Miss Carol Taylor, Miss Diana James, Mrs. Dan Twyman and Mrs. Robert Hartman. When the Hartman's return from a brief Wedding trip they will live at 17 Gaslight Drive. Mrs. Hartman a 1969 graduate of West Muskingum High School, is a member of First Christian Church. She is employed by Ohio Bell. Mr. Hartman is a 1968 graduate of Zanesville High School. He served with the US Navy and is a Vietnam veteran. He is a member of the Naval reserve and is employed by Zanesville Mould Company.
