    Mr. and Mrs. Walter (Mary) Wisecarver of 7415 Adamsville Road, Adamsville, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary February 15, 1997. Married at Central Presbyterian Church in Zanesville, by the Rev. Sheppard, Mrs. Wisecarver is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Blaine (Anna) Warren. Mr. Wisecarver is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lemert (Dorothy) Wisecarver. The couple has two children, Linda Cooper of Zanesville and William Wisecarver of Dresden. They also have five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Walter E. Wisecarver, 79

ADAMSVILLE - Walter E. Wisecarver, 79, of Adamsville died at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2005, at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital.


Mr. Wisecarver was born Dec. 18, 1925, in Adamsville, a son of the late Lemert V. and Dorothy V. Virts Wisecarver. He had attended Adamsville Schools and was a World War II veteran of the US Navy. Mr. Wisecarver was retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation District 5 as a supervisor, where he had worked for 30 years. He was a member of the Adamsville United Methodist Church.


Surviving are his wife, Mary L. Warren Wisecarver, whom he married Feb. 15, 1947; a daughter, Linda (Roy) Cooper of Zanesville; a son, Bill (Glennda) Wisecarver of Dresden; grandchildren, Pastor Jim (Shannon) Cooper of Kilbuck, Rick (Christy) Cooper of Dresden, Angie (Jason) Haren of Zanesville, Taylor and Brooke Wisecarver; great-grandchildren, Chase and Jaydn Cooper, Rachel, Hannah and Lydia Cooper; his sister-in-law, Betty Wisecarver of Adamsville; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.


A brother, L. Wayne Wisecarver on March 12, 1995, preceded him in death.


Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, at the Adamsville Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, where services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2005, with Pastor Bracken Foster and Pastor Carl Chrisman officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery.


Memorial contributions may be made to the Adamsville Community Fire Dept. Squad and Rescue; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
