    Charles V. White and Miss Florence M. Virts were married in Zanesville Wednesday evening, November 12, 1919, by Rev. Herbert Scott. The bride is the daughter of Mr and Mrs. S. A. Virts, of Gilbert Route 1 and is a popular young lady among those with whom she is associated. The bridegroom is a well respected young man of the Zanesville vicinity. He was a soldier in the World War and took part in some of the active service overseas. At present he is employed at the coal mining camp near Sonora.

    A veteran employee of the Armco Steel Corporation, Charles Vincent White, 51, of Zanesville Route 5, died Sunday morning (Jan 7, 1951) in Bethesda Hospital following a heart attack. For the past 27 years, Mr White had been employed at the Zanesville plant as a hot mill worker. The son of Vincent and Ida M White, he was born in Zanesville and spent most of his life in the Sonora vicinity. He was a member of the Salem Methodist Church; Hubbard Lodge 220, F&AM of Adamsville; Zanesville Chapter No 9, Royal Arch Masons; Zanesville Council No 12, Royal and Select Masters; Cyrene Commandery No 10, Knights Templar and Zanesville Post 29, American Legion. Mr White was a veteran of World War I, having served with the 34th Machine Gun Battalion in France. He was awarded the Purple Heart, the Meuse-Argonne and Verdun medals. Final rites will be conducted at 1:30 pm, Wednesday at the Adamsville Methodist Church, with Rev E C Traylor, pastor of the Zanesville First Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery by the Shirer and Son Funeral Home of Adamsville. Hubbard Lodge will hold ritualistic services at the residence at 8 pm, Monday. Surviving are his widow, Florence Virts White; a son Leland of Sonora; three daughters, Mrs Paul Lane of Nashport; Mrs Billy Parry of Dillon Falls and Miss Verna White of the home; his mother, Mrs Ida White of 972 Homewood Avenue, one brother Robert, of Sonora; four sisters, Mrs Elwood Shawger of 972 Homewood Avenue, Mrs Russell Mortine of East Fultonham, Mrs Elton Wheeler and Mrs Dalton Heagen, both of Sonora; and three grandchildren.
