| Note* | Charles is enumerated with Sarah Adams in the 1850 census. Her nativity is listed as VA and while her parents were born in PA and VA, she was born in Ohio. Al toehr census records give her name as Susannah or Susan. Not sure if this is another person or not but the marriage record indicates they were married before any of the children were born. Another marriage record is found for CHarles E. Adams and Sarah Elizabeth Adams . I don't know if the two are connected. | |

| News/Obit* | 9 July 1895 | CHARLES ADAMS DEAD An Aged And Respected Citizen Of Near Wills Creek Passes Away Charles Adams an aged and respected citizen of near Wills Creek Coshocton county died at the home of his daughter Mrs. Fisher last Tuesday of cancer. He has been suffering for many months and his death was not an unexpected occurrence. The deceased had reached a ripe old age having watched the seasons come and go for 83 years. During his long life he fought the battles manfully always defending the right and condemning the wrong. Old Uncle Charley was a very conscientious man and within his breast beat as kind and noble heart as ever man possessed. His disposition was mild and gentle, his manner meek and lowly and his daily walk the walk of a Christian. Mr. Adams formerly lived near this place and has a number of relatives and many friends here. Funeral services took place Thursday at St Paul Lutheran church and were conducted by Rev Hawkins of Plainfield and Rev C L V Dozer of this place. (Appeared in The Adamsville Register, Adamsville, Ohio Tuesday 9 July 1895) |
