Roscoe United Methodist Church was the setting for the wedding of Miss Beverly Ann Amore, granddaughter of Mrs. Letha Hartsock, Coshocton Route 5, and Michael Frederick Lyons, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lyons, also of Route 5.

Rev. Eugene Priest, pastor of the church, performed the ceremony at 8:30 p. m. Saturday, Sept. 21, after a half-hour program of organ music presented by Miss Becky VanFossen. Seven - branched candelabra, palms and vases of dahlias, mums and snapdragons decorated the altar.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, Leo Amore, wore a full-length gown of lace over satin featuring an A-line skirt, scooped neckline and long pointed sleeves. A large satin bow highlighted the back waistline and satin accented the neckline, waist and sleeves. Matching lace over satin formed the headpiece which held her veil of bridal tulle with matching lace appliques. The bride made her dress and headpiece. The bride carried white daisies and ivy atop a white Bible and wore a hand-carved Ivory necklace with matching earrings, a gift of her grandmother.

Miss Bobby Lyons, sister of the groom, served as maid of honor and bridesmaids were Sharon Lyons, another sister of the groom and Jayce Bucklew. Flower girl was Tracy Jones, cousin of the groom. All wore floor-length gowns of light blue brocade with empire waists and short sleeves. They also wore matching flower headpieces made of the same material and hand-carved ivory necklaces, gifts of the bride. Each carried a bouquet of yellow daisies and fern. Their dresses were made by the bride's great-aunt, Mrs. Clarence Helwig.

Robert Lingo, college roommate of the groom, served as best man, while ushers were Ronald Amore Sr., brother of the bride, and Tom Jones, uncle of the groom. Ring bearer was
Ronald Amore Jr., nephew of the bride.

After the ceremony a reception for 125 guests was held in the church social rooms, which were decorated with yellow daisies, fern and candelabras. Hostesses were Mrs. Larry Reiss, Mrs. John Addy and Miss Mary Lou Parks. Presiding at the guest book was Miss Jackie Lyons, sister of the groom, and assisting with the gifts were Leslie and Carol Lyons, sisters of the groom and Shirley Conkle.

The bride, a 1967 graduate of River View High School, is presently employed as a secretary for the Counseling and
Guidance Institute of Ohio University, Athens. The groom, a 1965 Three Rivers High School graduate, is a senior at Ohio University.

The bride wore a royal blue suit wilh black accessories and an orchid from her bouquet when leaving for a short honeymoon. The newlyweds are residing at 38 Brown Ave.

The groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner Friday evening 'in their home.
