Beatrice Cameron Harmon, 91, of Sarasota, formerly of Cincinnati, died April 3, 2009.

Wiegand Brothers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include her husband, Alexander; daughters Carol of Denver and Lucia of Wayzata, Minn.; a sister, Mary Stirling of Greenwich, Conn.; and four grandchildren.

She was the oldest child of Dr. Angus Cameron and Grace Waterman Cameron of Minot, Nev., and was preceded in death by her son, Douglas A. Harmon, her sister, Jean Cameron, and her brothers, Malcolm Cameron and Bruce Cameron. She will be interred near her father, mother and son in Hamilton, Ind.

She was born in Chicago, grew up in Minot, Nev., graduated from Minot High School, attended Smith College and the University of Minnesota. She married Alexander Harmon on May 31, 1942, in Chicago. They were happily married for 67 years.

Prior residences include Cincinnati, Brooklyn, N.Y., Wayzata, Minn., and Cleveland. She is remembered by her family and friends for her sense of humor, strength of convictions, beautiful smile and blue eyes.

Beatrice Cameron Harmon, 91, Sarasota, FL, formerly of Cincinnati, OH, and Minot, ND, died April 3, 2009, in Sarasota.

She was the oldest child of Dr. Angus Cameron and Grace Waterman Cameron of Minot, ND, and was preceded in death by her son, Douglas A. Harmon, her sister, Jean Cameron, and her brothers, Malcolm Cameron and Bruce Cameron. She will be interred near her father, mother and son in Hamilton, IN.
