| News/Obit* | 6 May 2008 | Lois Marcella Bodkin, 95, of Mentor, Ohio, formerly of Clintonville and Dunedin, Fla., died Sunday, May 4, 2008, in the Ivy House Nursing Home in Painesville, Ohio, following a brief illness. Born March 21, 1913, in Clintonville, she was the daughter of Clarence and Grace Stayton Anderson. Mrs. Bodkin graduated from the Clintonville schools and attended Slippery Rock Normal School. She taught elementary school in Pennsylvania and Ohio as well as raising a family. She was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a past matron. She was a longtime member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed gardening and loved traveling with friends. She and her husband traveled throughout the U.S., including Alaska and Hawaii. Mrs. Bodkin was married Aug. 12, 1936, to Mason J. Bodkin, and he preceded her in death on June 8, 1995. Surviving are three sons, Richard J. Bodkin and his wife, Frances, of Nampa, Idaho, David A. Bodkin of Mentor, Ohio, and Thomas A. Bodkin and his wife, Tina, of Butler; one daughter, Carol A. Borlin and her husband, Louis, of Mentor, Ohio; and three grandchildren, Catherine Bodkin of Boise, Idaho, Kelly Bodkin of Boise, Idaho, and Kyle M. Bodkin of Butler. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Bodkin was preceded in death by an infant son and her sister, Malissa McFadden. Friends will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the McKinley Funeral Home in Clintonville. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
