Mrs. G. S. Shiret(sp) Passes Away


    Word has been received by relatives of the death of Mrs. Ida McCoy Shirer aged 70 years, wife of Rev. D. G. Shirer which occurred at the home of her sister S. H. Mahan, 490 Conneticut Avenue, Rochester. Pa., at 2:40 o'clock, January 13, 1925. Mrs. Shirer had been a sufferer of paralysis for several years, but had only been bedfast one week. She was a member of the Rochester Free Methodist church and was a licensed Evangalist of the Pittsburg Conference. She leaves two brothers and a sister, William Baum McCoy and John Jay McCoy of Mountain View, Missouri, and Mrs. S. H. Mahon of Rochester, Pa.


    Funeral services were conducted at the Mahan home on Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. Burial at Hessly Chapel cemetery Brownsdale, W. Va. Mrs. Shirer will be remembered by a number of the Register readers having visited back here a number of times.
