| News/Obit* | 19 February 2010 | George A. Shaw George A. Shaw, 68, of Fort Myers, Fla., passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Feb. 14, 2010, following an extended illness. He was born in Coshocton, O., to Benjamin and Sarah Bradford, was a resident of Fort Myers for over 15 years and Atwood Lake, O., for over 34 years. Family, first and foremost, was the most important thing to George, and second was his love of golf. He was so respected, extremely intelligent, charming, handsome and had a sharp wit - which he used to lift our spirits until the end. He owned and operated Shaw Machine and Plating Co. for 21 years and Honey Road Auto Salvage for 17 years. He will be sadly missed by family, friends and most of the golf courses in Fort Myers and Northeast Ohio. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Sidney Reymond Shaw; two daughters, Jennifer Smoot and Diana (Bill) Galigher of Fort Myers, Fla.; three sons, Ronald (Brenda), David (Linda) and Wayne (Lisa) Shaw, all of Ohio; two brothers, Harry and Benjamin Shaw; sisters-in-law, Evelyn, Marilyn, Silvia (Sas) Gasser, Etta (Skeech) Kohl; father-in-law, Edgar Reymond of Cape Coral, Fla.; seven grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, at 2 p.m. at the Hospice House, 2430 Diplomat Pkwy., Cape Coral, and also in Ohio on April 3, 2010, (time and place will be announced at a later date).
