Wright , 91, of Grandview, WA went to be to be in the arms of her Heavenly Father on Saturday, May 31, 2008 from Sunnyside Community Hospital. Alta was born on August 8, 1916 in Ionia, MO the daughter of Sheridan E. and Elva C. (Merriott) Davis. She received her education in Warsaw, MO. On February 1, 1944 Alta Davis married Wesley H. Wright in Sedalia, Missouri. Following her husband's military service in 1945 the Wright 's made their home in Missouri. In 1949 the Wright family came west settling in Lind, WA and later moved to Grandview, WA. in 1953. Her husband, Wesley passed away in 1982 and Alta has continued to make Grandview her home. She is survived by one daughter, Charlotte Mills (Anthony) of Basin City, WA and one son, Jimmy W. Wright of Grandview, WA. Two grandchildren Bill Mills (Heather) and Tonya Rauch (Jason). Two great grandchildren with two on the way in July, one sister, Phoebe Laurin of Sedalia, MO. Alta is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wesley in 1982, two brothers and two sisters. Viewing and visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home, Grandview, WA. Graveside funeral service will be on Thursday, June 5, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at the Lower Valley Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home, Grandview, WA.
