Note*   George and his sister Sophronia moved to Coles Co., IL after the death of their mother. They lived with the Elisha Smith family. A neighbors hired hand was Oliver McComas brother of Maggie McComas who he would marry in 1876.

One source which cites the book "Collected Genealogies of Keith, Keath & Keeth Families in North America", says George married Annie Barber in Fountain Co., IN on 20 May 1875. It does not mention a date of birth or death for her or if he was widowed or divorced. This record can also be found in the Indiana Msrriage Collection 1800-1941 on Ancestry.com.2
