Maxine C. Singleton, 87, Sarasota, died Jan. 11, 2006.

She was born July 15, 1918, in Fort Wayne, Ind., and came to Sarasota from there in 1979. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, Arthur E.; daughters Molly M. McKenzie of Lisle, Ill., and Catherine A. of Indianapolis; sons Patrick A. of Fort Wayne, Ind., Timothy E. of Phoenix and Daniel A. of Jacksonville; a brother, Donald A. Rauner of Angola, Ind.; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Memorial services will be later. Wiegand Brothers Funeral Home is in charge.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 5394 Midnight Pass Road, Sarasota FL 34242; or to American Diabetes Association, 4902 Eisenhower Blvd., Tampa, FL 33634.

MAXINE C. SINGLETON, 87, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Fort Wayne, died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006, 5:30 p.m., in Sarasota. Born in Fort Wayne, she was a lifetime resident of Fort Wayne and a homemaker. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Road. Surviving are her husband, Arthur E.; three sons, Patrick Singleton of Fort Wayne, Timothy Singleton of Tempe, Ariz. and Daniel Singleton of Jacksonville, Fla.; two daughters, Cathy Ann Singleton of Indianapolis and Molly Marie McKenzie of Lisle, Ill. one brother, Donald A. Rauner of Angola; eight grandchildren; and one great- grandchild. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2006 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, with calling one hour prior to Mass. Burial in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials to Mass or Diabetes Association. Local arrangements by Tom Mungovan Funeral Home, 2221 S. Calhoun St.
