| News/Obit* | 25 July 2006 | Reta I. Watkins Nov. 11, 1940 - July 24, 2006 Reta I. Watkins, 65, of Addison, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2006 at her home. She was born on November 11, 1940 in Hanover, to Eldred L. and Eullenee B. (Nesbitt) Helmick. Reta was raised in the Moscow, Mich. area, and she then lived in Addison for the past 15 years. She graduated from Hillsdale High School in 1976 (??). She was co-owner of the Village Coin Laundry-Video Store in Addison. She was a member of the Addison Kiwanis Club. Surviving are five children, Linda S. (Richard) Baird of Jerome, Phillip D. Hobart of Addison, Lori A. (James) Wilenius of Addison, Lonnie J. (Denise) Goodnough of Hanover and David M. (Kellie) Goodnough of Monroe; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four sisters, Janice Roberts of Concord, Nancy Helmick of Gregory, Phyllis (Thomas) Collings of Stockbridge and Ellen (Mark) Obenour of Mosherville; three nephews; two nieces and two great-nephews. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, July 28 at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Addison, with Pastor John W. Snyder officiating. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Addison Kiwanis Club.
