News/Obit* 9 July 2000  Mary E. Pyeatt, 95, of Amarillo, died Saturday, July 8, 2000.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Rector Funeral Home Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St., with Lynn Camp, minister of Southwest Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.

Mrs. Pyeatt was born in Stockton, Mo. She was a member of Church of Christ.

She married Owen Pyeatt in 1922 at Memphis. He died in 1977. She was also preceded in death by two sons, El Ray Pyeatt, in 1993, and Jack Pyeatt, in 1980.

Survivors include a daughter, Scharlean Smith of Amarillo; two sons, Ben Pyeatt and Gayle Pyeatt, both of Amarillo; a sister, Jauvada Curtis of Dallas; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

The family suggests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center.
