News/Obit 2 October 2001  FREMONT, Ind. - Paul V. Firestone , 81, of Fremont, Ind. died on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2001 at Englewood Health Rehabilitation Center of Ft. Wayne, Ind.

Mr. Firestone was born May 13, 1920 in Montgomery, Mich. to Garlyn and Lura (Seiple) Firestone . He married Ida C. (Ward) on Aug. 2, 1953 in Cadillac, Mich. She died on Feb. 27, 1991.

He was a retired laborer.

Survivors include one son Jim Firestone of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; one daughter Celestia Firestone of Irving, Texas; seven grandchildren; three sisters Esther Smith of Hartselle, Ala., Leora Weber of Waynesboro, Pa. and Grace Fansler of Fremont, Ind.; and one brother Floyd Firestone of Angola, Ind.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ida C. (Ward) Firestone , parents, one sister, two brothers and one grandson.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2001 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Ind.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, 2001 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Ind. Rev. Dale Gerig will officiate. Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery, Fremont, Ind.

Memorials may be made to the donor's choice or Steuben County Cancer Association.
