Mrs. Samuel Firestone of Marengo, O., was killed and her husband, 69, a Methodist minister, was injured seriously last night when their auto, driven by the Rev. Mr. Firestone, collided with another car at 119th st. and Harlem av., Worth township. The driver of the other car, LeRoy Clement, Joliet, also was injured.

Services To Be Held at Marengo for Mrs. Firestone

Funeral services for Mary Eda Warner Firestone, wife of Rev. Samuel Morton Firestone, pastor of the Marengo and Fulton Methodist churches in Morrow county, will be held Saturday. She was killed in a traffic accident in a Chicago suburb Tuesday night and her husband was seriously injured. He was to be moved from Oak Forest infirmary in Chicago to Wesley Memorial hospital there today. His condition was described today as "still critical."

The Firestones were enroute to meet a son, S. M. Firestone Jr. of Appleton, Wis. and his family to return with them to their parsonage home in Marengo for the holidays when the accident occurred .
The body is scheduled to arrive in Marion tonight to be taken to the Jacobs funeral home in Marengo. Friends may call Friday to pay respects. The body will not be viewed. Services will be conducted in the church at 9 a.m. Saturday and in the Dunford funeral home in Wooster at 2:30 p.m. Dr. John D. Green superintendent of the Mansfield district of the denomination and Rev. Frank of the Cardington Methodist church, father-in-law of S. M. Firestone Jr. will officiate at Morengo. Rev. C. D. Firster and Rev. Ted Mayer, will be in charge at Wooster. Burial will be Sunday at Hamilton, Ind.

Mrs Firestone was born in Wooster, Feb. 22, 1888, a daughter ot Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Warner. She lived at one time in Indiana. A graduate of Wooster High school, she attended Ohio Wesleyan university at Delaware and a missionary training school at Cincinnati where she prepared for rural church work. Her marriage to Rev. Firestone was July 27, 1922. They observed their silver wedding anniversary at the time of the annual Northeast Ohio conference of the Methodist church at Lakeside in June. At that time Rev. Firestone was transferred from pastorate of the Sycamore Methodist church to the Morengo and Fulton churches.

Surviving with Rev. Firestone and the son are a daughter, Mrs. Helen Murphy and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Ames of Beach City O.; a sister and brothers, Mrs Carl Hornberger of Glen Ellen, Ill., Harry S. Warner of Columbus, O., Clyde W. of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Glen Y. of South Bend, Ind. and Paul J. of Orlando,Fla.

Burried Today

The funeral of Mrs. Mary Eda Firestone, 60, wife of the Rev. S. M. Firestone, former pastor of the churches at Wilmot and Brewster, to be held this afternoon at was home to he McIntire funeral home. Interment was made at Hamilton, Ind. Mrs. Firestone was instantly killed Tuesday in an auto collision near Chicago. Mr. Firestone is suffering from rib fractures and a left clavicle fracture and is in the Wesley Methodist hospital at Chicago. His condition is reported as "pretty fair."

Mr. and Mrs. Firestone were en route from their home at Marengo, 0. to Chicago where they were to meet their son and Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Firestone and grandchild of Appleton, Wis.

Mrs. Firestone, before her marriage, was Miss Mary Eda Warner of Wooster. She sustained a skull and fractures of both legs in the accident.

In addition to her husband and son, Mrs. Firestone is survived by two daughters; Mrs. Brice V. Ames of Beach City and Mrs. Helen Murphy of Zanesville.
