EAST PALESTINE — Mrs. Margaret E. Harrold, 69, of 241 E. North Ave., died at Salem Community Hospital at 8:35 p.m. Friday after a long illness.

She was born Nov. 7, 1910 at Stone Boro, Pa., the daughter of Alexander and Sarah Mears Van Kirk.

She was a member of the Sentinary United Methodist Church where she was active in the Sunday school, the United Methodist Women and Circles of the church. She was past president of the Republican Club in East Palestine.

She is survived by her husband, Russell L. Harrold, whom she married Oct. 14,1929. one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Shirley) Olson of Elk River, Minn.; three sons, Stanley Harrold of Port Clinton, Ohio; Dennis Harrold of Heath, Ohio; and Donald Harrold of Baltimore, Md.; nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles A. Van Kirk in 1961.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Van Dyke-Swaney Funeral Home with Rev. Wallace Aker officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Boardman. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m
