News/Obit* 6 November 2003  Dawn Molnar Alexander, 73, of Springdale passed away Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003, at Northwest Medical Center of Washington County. She was born Dawn Elaine Molnar in Evanston, Ill., on Aug. 13, 1930, to Martin Molnar and Dorothea Hauf Molnar, and married John. B. Alexander in Fayetteville on Oct. 2, 1948. She is survived by her husband, John, formerly of Hartford; there are four children including, Layne Moore of Springdale, John S. Alexander of Hamburg, Germany, Mark Alexander of Bellevue, Wash., and Mary Gabbard of Fayetteville. Dawn had a variety of interests, she was a Welcome Wagon hostess in the early '60s. She was an accomplished florist who had a flower shop on Dickson Street during the mid '60s and early '70s (Dawn's Flowers). She later collected and marketed Oriental antiques and collectibles (Dawn's Antiques). Dawn and John have five grandchildren, Jackie Clason, Melody Paschal, Kellye Gabbard, Barbara Gabbard and Genevieve Alexander; and four great-grandchildren, Ashley, Katherine, Blake and Melissa Clason. The family will greet friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at Moore's Chapel of Fayetteville, followed by cremation. Graveside service will be 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7 at Friendship Cemetery in Springdale. Officiating will be the Rev. Paul Dennis. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905 or the Leukemia & Lymphona Society, Office of Donor Services, 1311 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains, NY 10605.
