| Note* | Abbie was the daughter of Henry and Jean (Henry) Kimber of Kimberton, Chester Co., Pennsylvania, who came to Topeka, Kansas, in 1871. She was a granddaughter of Emmor Kimber, who founded the well known Kimber School for Young Ladies at Kimberton. The Kimberton Library was one of the first in Pennsylvania, and Emmor Kimber was one of the incorporators of the Reading Railroad. Mrs. Lee is descended from Col. Richard Kimber, an officer of Cromwell's army.1 | |
