NEWTON FALLS - Betty Jean Kistler Hill, 84, passed peacefully into eternal life Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, at St. Joseph Eastland Hospital, Warren.

She was born March 10, 1924, in Newton Township, the daughter of Alva Kistler and Flora Zimmerman Kistler.

She married Charles John Hill on July 20, 1962, and he passed away after 24 years of marriage on March 26, 1986.

Mrs. Hill is formerly of Newton Falls, but had lived in Warren since 1962. She was employed at Packard Electric for 35 years as an inspector, retiring in 1982.

She was a member of Newton Falls United Methodist Church. She loved camping, being a Girl Scout leader, loved her family and friends and her dog, a Boston terrier, Mr. Bimbo Hill.

She is survived by her two daughters, Donna and Alan Hess of Newton Falls and Anissa J. Hill of Dunedin, Fla.; stepson, Dennis and Tammy Hill of Sutherland, Va.; stepdaughter, Carolyn and Jim Wazelle of Warren; cousin, Ruth Reeves of Newton Falls; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles; sister, Martha Kistler Egbert; and brother, Raymond Kistler.

Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lutheran Cemetery. Pastor Bill Carter will be officiating the service. Betty will be laid to rest beside her husband, Charles, at the Lutheran Cemetery in Newton Falls.

Arrangements are being handled by James Funeral Home, Inc., 8 E. Broad St., Newton Falls, Ohio. 330-872-5440.
