YOUNGSTOWN There will be funeral services at 11 a.m. Monday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Edward B. Yost, 94, of Shepherd of the Valley in Poland, formerly of Hilton Avenue, who died Friday afternoon at his residence.

He was born Jan. 30, 1910 in Litchfield Township, the son of John S. and Chloe (Baylor) Yost.

Mr. Yost was an electrician for Youngstown Sheet and Tube, retiring in 1975. He was a 65-year member of the Knights of Pythias and the D.O.K.K. in North Jackson, a member of the V.F.W. in Newton Falls and a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He loved to fish and hunt.

His first wife, the former Lucille Meehan, whom he married Nov. 7, 1940, died Aug. 6, 1967. His second wife, Frances Korp, whom he married in 1969, died in 1975.

He is survived by a daughter, Mary Lou and husband William Rahde of Westerville; two stepdaughters, Natalie Korp of California and Ruth and husband Michael Temnick of Poland; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Besides his first and second wives, he was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Florence Clifford and Orpha Wagner; and three brothers, Marion, Clyde and Wallace Yost.

Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. today and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Shriners Children's Hospital of Central Ohio Breathing Association, 1520 Old Henderson Road, Columbus, OH 43220.

The family would like to extend a thank-you to the staff at Shepherd of the Valley in Poland for the loving care that was given to Mr. Yost.
