All were killed instantly and some were badly mangled. Smart was scalded to death and Firestone was caught between the boiler and the water tank of his engine, crushed out of all semblance to humanity and nearly consumed by the fire of the engine.....William Firestone, leaves many friends here, one sister and two aged parents to mourn, with a sorrow they only can know, a sorrow so deep and intense that words of consolation only seem a mockery...The funeral of William Firestone took place at the home of his parents north of the city at 1 o'clock, and the remains were interred in the Barnes cemetery, near by...
