DEATH OF MRS. ALONZO NORTH

The death of Mrs. Alonzo North occurred Monday Evening at the family residence in the north part of the town. She had been suffering from cancer for about five years and although every effort possible, within the power of the family, was made to drive the dreaded malady from her system, yet the ravages of the disease continued until death brought relief.

Mrs. Pircy North was the daughter of Leonard and Mary Hurdle and was born in Madison township June 21, 1842. December 31, 1879 she was united in marriage with Alonzo North who survives the departed woman and mourns the loss of the one who had been his kind and affectionate companion for nearly a quarter of a century.

The deceased was a member of the Prospect M. P. church and her daily walk showed her to be a woman desirous of doing her Master's will.

Besides her husband, three sisters survive the deceased woman. They are: Mrs. Mary Payne, of Indianapolis, Ind., and Mrs Salina Kinney and Mrs. Cecelia Thompson, of Union county.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at the Prospect M. P. church, the time of meeting at the house prepatory to going to the church being 10 o'clock forenoon. Rev. O. V. Sharrock will conduct the services.

Those who desire to see the remains will have an opportunity at the family residence. The casket will not be opened at the church.
