Phyllis Goldstine, 84

Phyllis Goldstine, 84, of Lafayette, died at 1 a.m. Sunday, April 17, 2005, at Regency Place.


Born Feb. 22, 1921, in Logansport, she had lived in Lafayette for the past 82 years.


She married James Goldstine on Jan. 30, 1937, in Chicago, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 1978.


Mrs. Goldstine had worked as a crane operator for the U.S. steel mill during World War II.


She was a member of the Ninth Street Christian Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, both in Logansport.


Surviving are 2 sons, James Goldstine (wife: Merrilyn) of Evergreen, Colo., and Phillip Goldstine (wife: Susan) of Lafayette.

GOLDSTINE, Phyllis

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at Thompson Cemetery in Royal Center. Surviving are 3 grandchildren, Phillip Goldstine (wife: Denise) of Fort Wainright, Alaska, Gigi Nay of Idaho Springs, Colo., and Krista Goldstine-Cole (husband: F. William) of Olympia, Wash.; and 9 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a brother, Robert Cotner, and her parents, Robert and Blanche Cotner. Memorial contributions can be made to the Ninth Street Christian Church in Logansport. Hippensteel Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

News/Obit* 8 September 2005  Obituary, LAFAYETTE -- Graveside services for Phil Goldstine's mother, Phyllis Goldstine, 84, of Lafayette, formerly of Logansport, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Thompson Cemetery in Royal Center.
She died at 1 a.m. Sunday, April 17, 2005, in Regency Place.
Born Feb. 22, 1921, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Robert and Blanche Cotner. She was married Jan. 30, 1937, in Chicago, to James Goldstine, who preceded in death Dec. 2, 1978.
Phyllis had lived in Lafayette for the past two years.
She had worked as a crane operator for the U.S. Steel Mill during World War II.
Phyllis was a member of the former Ninth Street Christian Church in Logansport, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary in Logansport.
Surviving are two sons, James Goldstine and his wife, Merrilyn, Evergreen, Colo., and Phillip Goldstine and his wife, Susan, Lafayette; three grandchildren, Phillip Goldstine and his wife, Denise, Fort Wainright, Alaska, Gigi Nay, Idaho Springs, Colo., Krista Goldstine-Cole and her husband, F. William, Olympia, Wash.; and nine great-grandchildren.
One brother, Robert Cotner, preceded in death.
Memorial contributions may be made to the River of Life Christian Church in Logansport.
