OBIT - SHIFLETT, SADIE GRAYBILL

SHIFLETT, Sadie Graybill, 92, formerly of Roanoke, died Sunday, March 5, 2000 at Shenandoah Manor Nursing Home, Clifton Forge. She was the widow of Albert William Shiflett. Mrs. Shiflett was born December 25, 1907 in Botetourt County, a daughter of the late Cephas Abraham and Laura Gwaltney Graybill. Mrs. Shiflett is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Elnora (Nonle) and Kebby Entsminger of Covington, Shirley and Earl Childress of Roanoke, Patsy Shiflett Alfred of Roanoke; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Lewis Graybill of Hardy, Clarence Graybill of Melbourne, Fla., Ralph Graybill of Norfolk; one sister, Mrs. Dorothy Chambers of Bel Air, Md.; and many special friends at Shenandoah Manor Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Kate Stewart, Ethel Argabright and Lillian Cheatham; and two brothers, Elmer Graybill and Albert Graybill. A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in Alleghany Memorial Park with the Rev. Ronald Mills officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1 until 2 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Loving Funeral Home.
