BATEMAN

BATEMAN, Ernestine Arnetta, 93, of Roanoke, died Thursday afternoon, February 15, 1996 in Friendship Manor Health Care Center. She was a member of Central Church of the Brethren, was retired from Heironimus, and was predeceased by three brothers, Glen, Harry and Lynwood Bateman. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Cletis B. Richards, Roanoke, Mrs. Pauline B. and husband, Vernon Diehl, McGaheysville, Va.; a brother, Willis S. and wife, Eunice Bateman, Roanoke; several nieces and nephews, and a sister-in-law, Odessa Bateman, Norfolk. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday from Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, with Pastor David A. Yingling and Pastor Harold S. Moyer officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Burial Park. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Central Church of The Brethren, (416 Church Avenue, S.W., Roanoke, Va. 24016) or a favorite charity. Friends may call after noon Friday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, where the family will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday.
