| News/Obit* | 10 May 2011 | James Howard Firestone ROGERS - James Howard Firestone, 83, of Rogers died May 8, 2011, at Ashley Health and Rehab in Rogers. He was born in Wewoka, Okla., on May 1, 1928, to the late Raymond and Nancy Violet (Donothan) Firestone. James was a resident of Northwest Arkansas over 35 years. He retired after 24 years from pb2 Architects and Engineers (formerly Perry Butcher and Associates). He served in the U.S. Navy as a seaman aboard the USS Duluth and the USS Bremerton. He was honorably discharged and received the World War II Victory Medal. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Anna M. Firestone, of the home; children, Nancy Jones and husband Lauren of Broken Arrow, Okla., James Creg Firestone and wife Vicki of Conway; grandchildren, Zachary Jones and wife Amanda, Matthew Firestone and Megan Firestone. No services are planned. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, AR 72762. Arrangements are by Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.
