Note*		Bert was first married to Hazel G. Turner on August 09, 1902 in San Diego, San Diego County, California, USA. Bert and Hazel divorced in San Diego, San Diego County, California, and an Interlocutory Judgment was entered on July 08, 1909. Bert was a masonry contractor, and was involved in several building projects throughout California. He constructed aircraft runways for the U.S. Navy in the Imperial Valley during WW-II. He constructed a number of buildings in Baker, California, as well as some of the construction on the 'Skunk Train' that runs between Fort Bragg, California and Willetts, California. He constructed the dome atop St. Luke's Hospital, and also the Holliston United Methodist Church, both in Pasadena, California. He built the "Deodar Drive-in" in 1930, which was one of the first mini-malls in California. It was located at Los Robles Ave. and Woodbury Rd., just 3 blocks from his home in Pasadena, California. Bert constructed many of the sidewalks in Pasadena, California, and there are still some that bear his contractors stamp, even today. Bert's and Bernice's home was located at 346 E. Montana St., Pasadena, Los Angeles County, California. Son Merle's home was built on the west adjacent lot at 328 E. Montana St., and son Jack's home was on the south adjacent lot at 1980 N. Garfield Ave.3
