Mary Garn

WOOSTER - Mary L. Garn, 75, formerly of 311 E. South St., Wooster, entered into rest, Tuesday evening, Dec. 23, 2003, at Wayne County Care Center, Wooster.


Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, Wooster, with the Rev. Dr. Alan Nathan officiating, followed by interment at Wooster Cemetery.


Visitation will be one hour prior to services.


Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, 1701 N. Beauregard, Alexandria, Va. 22311.


She was born Sept. 22, 1928, in Lodi to Charles E. and Mary E. (Gindlesberger) Clinker and had been a Dalton resident from December 1976 to August 1987 before moving to Wooster.


She married Raymond F. Garn. He entered into rest in Wooster in 1963.


She had worked as a nursing assistant for both Wayne County Care Center and Westview Manor Nursing Center of Wooster for 14 years; Garn Diner for 10 years and Apple Creek Developmental Center for seven years.


She was a member and previously very active with Zion Lutheran Church of Wooster including Bach-Trinity Ladies Circle and Sunny Side Group.


She is survived by cousin, Mayor James Howie of Wooster, and aunt of many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.


In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by a brother, Woodrow E. Clinker, and sister, Margaret L. Zahn.
