MRS. FIRESTONE DIES; WIDOW OF TIRE PIONEER

Akron, O., July 7 (AP) -- Mrs. Idabelle Firestone, 79, who watched her husband rise from a buggy salesman to become the founder and president of the Firestone Tire and Rubber company, died today at her home, "Harbel Manor," where she had lived since her husband, Harvey S. Firestone Sr., died in Miami Beach in 1938 at 68. Her principal interests outside of her family has been in music and flowers.



Two songs she composed, "In My Garden" and "If I Could Tell You," have been used for years on the firestone radio and television shows.



Mrs. Firestone left four children, Harvey S. Firestone Jr., president of the Firestone company; Leonard K. Firestone of Beverly Hills, Cal., president of the Firestone Tire & Rubber company of California; Raymond C. Firestone of nearby Bath, O., executive vice president of the main Firestone firm, and Roger S. Firestone of Bryn Mawr, Pa., president of the Firestone Plastics company of Pottstown, Pa.
