East Pike Woman Victim
Of Sudden Heart Attack

Mrs. Alta Bowden, wife of Harry Bowden, dropped dead from a heart attack Saturday afternoon at her home on East Pike. Although in declining health for several years, no marked change had been noted in her condition recently.


Funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon at Market Street Baptist Church with Rev. A. Stokes Watson officiating. Burial was made in Greenwood Cemetery, Zanesville.


Surviving are her husband and two daughters, Mrs. Harry German and Miss Brenda, of the home, and two sisters, Miss Jessie Halsey, Gallipolis, O., and Mrs. W. L. Echelberry, Zanesville.


Coroner Harry T. Glasser visited the scene and pronounced death the result of the heart attack.


The husband of the deceased is a nephew of James and William Leachman of Adamsville and a brother of Howard Bowden of Gilbert Route.
