Bill worked in the Penitentiary at Leavenworth as manager of the furniture factory. He was injured in a prison riot, and lost a hand. Since retired, he manages his rental properties. They spend the winters in Padre Island, Texas.
Carl Dietrich, son of Michael Dietrich and Bertha Kwrop, was born 16 July 1892, in Leavenworth, Kansas.
He was married 16 February 1920, in Leavenworth, to Bertha Charlotte Ewert, born 26 December 1895, in Leavenworth, daughter of Henry Rudolph Ewert and Otillie Schrader.
