Deed of the children of John Morey

Book 293, pp. 385-387

This indenture, made the twenty-eighth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-five between James W. Mory of Schuyler and Ellen his wife, Almon T. Mory of Frankfort and Lydia his wife, all of Herkimer County, Maria Arnold of South Trenton and Alexander her husband, Jane Coffin of Deerfield and Edward her husband, Harriet Coffin of Deerfield and Elisha her husband, and Lucy A. Mory of Deerfield, widow of John Mory deceased, all of the state of New York, parties of the first part; said James W., Almon T., Jane & Harriet being the children and said Lucy A. the widow & heirs at law of said John Mory (deceased), & Anson J. Mory of Utica, Oneida County and State aforesaid, party of the second part, Witnesseth:

that the said parties of the first part in consideration of the sum of one dollar to each of them and to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby conferred and acknowledged has bargained, sold, remised, and quit claimed and by these presents does bargain, sell, remise and quit claim unto the said party of the sacond part Anson J. Mory and to his heirs and assigns forever, all those lots of land known and described as followed:

Lot no. one (1) and two (2) which lie together and are bounded as follows, vis: Beginning on the south corner of Elm and Louisa Street from thence easterly along the line of Louisa Street one hundred feet, thence southerly at a right angle with Louisa Street seventy-six (76) feet, thence westerly one hundred feet to Elm Street, and from thence northerly on the line of Elm Street seventy-six (76) feet to the place of beginning. All present, future contingencies or rights in abeyance all and each the said parties of the first part do hereby grant, sell, and convey each respectively all their rights, title, and interest in said premises, either in law or equity, for value received aforesaid to Anson J. Mory, and do hereby also release to him any and all interest to said lands or premises, and each of us respectively, jointly or severally have either in law or equity .....
