Until now, the exact year of Fannye's's death had not been known. We knew that she had died in a wagon accident but not the details or where it had happened

TRAGEDY AT CHINA SPRINGS

Mrs. Tom Burge Thrown From a Wagon and Her Back Broken. Daughter Injured.

News reached Waco this morning of a distressing accident yesterday afternoon near China Springs, in which Mrs. Tom Burge, wife of a farmer, was killed and their 7 year old daughter badly injured.

Mrs. Burge, son and daughter, had started to Waco in a wagon, the son driving. They live about three miles from China Springs, on the Bosque. When they were about a mile from home it was said that Mrs. Burge and daughter concluded to raise their parasol to keep off the burning rays of the sun. When they raised it the team became frightened and ran, despite the efforts of the boy to control them. Mrs. Burge was thrown out, her back broken, and she died in about 45 minutes. The girl was bruised up badly, but will live it is thought.

Mrs. Burge was about 50 years old and leaves a husband and children. The accident cast a gloom over the entire community.
