This web ring is created specifically for
sharing information about the MURROW FAMILY. One's family
heritage should be preserved to the fullest extent possible and
this ring is one effort towards achieving that goal.
Membership is open to anyone who maintains
a website that (1) is of a genealogical or historical nature,
(2) includes the MURROW surname as a prominent branch
of the family tree or in the body of the page, and (3) is freely
available to the public via the internet.
Anything -- absolutely anything
related to a family history -- may be of significance in one's
search for family roots or for learning more about the "cousins"
on the various branches of this family's tree. Typically, sites
include standard genealogical information, scanned family photos,
newspaper articles, stories (old and new) about certain individuals
or events, obituaries, and the like. Our goal on this ring is
not to dictate what your site contains, but to provide a gathering
place for folks with a common interest in an uncommon family,
the MURROWs.
To join the MURROW FAMILY WEB RING,
complete the form below, then wait for a follow-up e-mail that
will provide you with an ID number and the HTML code to add to
your site's index or home page. The code will create the official
MURROW FAMILY WEB RING box that you see at the bottom
of this page - it should be placed prominently on your index
or home page (the introductory page to your MURROW family
information). Copy the graphic logo by right-clicking on it and
saving it to your hard drive - then upload it to your internet
service provided where your web pages are stored.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- check the code to be sure that your side
ID number, e-mail address, and other information is correct before
uploading the page to your internet service provider.
- the HTML code should be added to the first
page of the MURROW section of your site; you can add
it to other pages as well (or just use the graphic logo), but
be sure that the page you identify as your MURROW
page is the one that the ring links to (i.e., the one identified
in the URL you submit in the membership form).
- yes, you may alter the format of the box
to suit your own page design, but the graphic logo, your name
and e-mail link, and at least the "next, previous, list
sites, join ring" options must be included.
