John A. Sherrell's second wife was Capatola Elva "Cappie" Haworth, daughter of James B. And Martha Elizabeth (Gingerich) Sykes. Cappie was born 16 July 1873 in Lawrence, Douglas Co., KS and died 7 May 1944. Her first husband was Richard Gravener Haworth; they were married 5 Aug 1891 in Cleburne Co., Ark. Mr. Haworth died in 1919. Cappie and John A. Sherrell were married 27 Oct. 1927 and lived in Kansas City, KS.
