Mildred Myrtle, daughter of Mary (Seyler) and Otto W. Hall, was born on February 5, 1904 at Oto, Iowa. She passed away at the Alva Beadles Nursing Home on the 30th of March [1996] at the age of 92 years, 1 month and 25 days.
As a small child the family came to Oklahoma in 1912 to a farm 15 miles west of Alva. She attended the Mt. Vernon Rural Grade School and Northwestern State Normal High School.
Miss Hall was married to Aaron Luther Murrow on February 15, 1920 at Alva, Oklahoma. To their marriage a daughter, Eula Jean, and a son, Wendell Dean, were born. Lute passed away on January 7, 1981.
Following their marriage they farmed south of Alva. In 1929 they moved to Dacoma and purchased a Produce House, in 1938 the grocery store and in 1947 built a Locker Plant which they operated until 1958.
She was a member of the Alva Church of God. She has been a member of the church in Dacoma since 1930.
Mrs. Murrow was preceded in death by her grandson, Randy Murrow, on December 20, 1969; her parents; three brothers, Clifford, Edward, and Marvin; and her son-in-law, Bob Nida.
Mildred is survived by a daughter, Jean Nida, and a son and his wife, Dean and Dolores, all of Alva; three grandsons and their wives, Steve Nida of Ponca City, Rodney and Carolyn Murrow and Rob and Patricia Nida, all of Alva; eight great-grandchildren, Nikki and her husband Kyle Wilson of Broken Arrow, Matthew Nida of Ponca City, Melanie, Randy and Cathy Murrow, Heidi, Hillary and Haley Nida, all of Alva; a sister, Avis Hood of Springfield, Missouri; three nieces, Marva Dykes, Mary Hoffman, and Madeline Silcott; two nephews, Lee Hall and Chuch Hood, and other relatives and friends.
