Mrs. Elizabeth Hampton, who is supposed to be the oldest woman in Woods county, was an interesting figure in the quarterly meeting. She is supposed to be 105 yrs. old and it is certainly interesting to hear her tell of her days of toil, hardships and adventure. We will try and tell more about her next week. She is an honored guest at the S. A. D. Easterling home for a few days. [The meeting was a telephone meeting of the Valley Green Telephone Company, described in a preceding paragraph].

John Clark, Sr., of near Logan, Kan., Mr. and Mrs. John Clark, Jr., and 2 children of Osborne, Kan., Mr. and Mrs. Silas Sherrell and our dear old friend, Grandma Hampton of near Clymer. Grandma seems as spry as she was last spring when here and still talks fluently. She remained with us until Sunday evening. The company returned Sunday evening to church, where Rev. Clark preached a good sermon, and Grandma Hampton returned home.
