4. The stone cairn was erected in 1936 in memory of the pioneers of Morrison Township. Moses
Martin deeded the land for a cemetery and Methodist Church in 1865. Prominent in the
logging industry, ancestors of the infamous Elonzo Boyd are buried there.

This cemetery is east of Hwy 11, three miles north of the the Severn Bridge and beside the
Muskoka Tourism Information Center.
