Notes for CLARICY PERRY:

The 1850 Census lists the following people living with Jeramiah and Clarissa: Vina C., Edward D., and Caroline R. Bellows. Vina is female and 24 years old; Edward 2 years old; and Caroline 9 months old. Vina was born in Massachusetts as was Clarissa. It is possible she is a relation of Clarissa's.

Notes for ALSENATH MURGITTROYD:

There is a tombstone inscription in Sand Ridge Cemetery for a daugther of Jeremiah and Clarissa dying at the age of six. This is the only know daughter for the couple.

2. STEPHEN3 MURGITTROYD (JEREMIAH MULLER2, JOSEPH1) was born 1841 in Oswego County, New York14,15, and died 1880 in New York16,17. He married MARY A. ? Unknown. She was born 1844 in New York18,19, and died 193420.

1870 Census lists Steve as Boatman and his father, Jerry is living with him.

3. OSCAR F.3 MURGITTROYD (JEREMIAH MULLER2, JOSEPH1) was born July 30, 1846 in Schroeppel, Oswego, New York22,23, and died February 14, 1923 in Phoenix, Oswego, New York24. He married MARAGRET WARN 186625, daughter of PORTER WARN and ANN TAYLOR. She was born September 13, 1849 in Caughdenoy, NY26, and died March 23, 1927 in Phoenix, Oswego, New York27,28.

Notes for OSCAR F. MURGITTROYD:

1900 Federal Census lists Oscar and his wife in Phoenix, NY. Both of their parents were listed as being born in New York. He owned his own home subject to a mortgage and was listed as a truck man.

He and his wife had two children, both living but not with them.

Living with them was a grandson, Ollie E. Senior (?) born April, 1887 in New York. One of their children must have been a daughter, the mother of Ollie.

In 1920 Oscar is listed as a lock tender on a barge canal. He owned his own home on Barnes Street and it was reported free of mortgage.

The 1920 Census shows Mace living with his parents in Phoneix, NY. He is listed as a widower and is a barber with his own shop.

4. GEOFFRIE E.4 MURGITTROYD (OSCAR F.3, JEREMIAH MULLER2, JOSEPH1) was born March 03, 187234, and died July 28, 190635. She married BENJAMIN SENIOR May 30, 1886 in ?35. He was born 1842 in England36,37, and died September 21, 1906 in New York37.

Notes for GEOFFRIE E. MURGITTROYD:

Mrs. Benjamin Senior, who has been in poor health for the past three years died shortly before midnight last Saturday of tuberculosis at the Rowe cottage at the lake, where the family has resided this summer.

Geoffrie E. Senior was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Murgittroyd of Phoenix, NY. and was born at Candhenoy, NY on March 3, 1870. She married on May 30, 1886 to Mr, Benjamin Senior, the family removing about eight years ago to Perry and with the exception of about a year this place has been their home since that time.

About three years ago a cancer developed near her breast and although of slow growth it affected her health to a considerable extent. She bore her affliction uncomplainingly and continued about her household duties until this spring, when she was taken to a hospital and wnderwent an operation for removal of the cancer. For a time afterward her health seemed to improve but later tuberculosis (quick consumption) developed and she gradually failed. Mrs. Senior was hopeful and cheerful until the end, and will power sustaining her for a number of weeks, and not until the day of her death did she become convinced that recovery was impossible. She was conscious to the last.

Mrs. Senior was a woman of sunny disposition and made many friends who share in the sorrow of the family, to whom sympathy is extended in their great bereavement.

Besides her husband she is survived by one son, Ollie, and one daughter, Pansy; also by her parents, Mr. Oscar Murgittroyd; one brother, Mace of Phoenix, NY.

Brief services were held at the Rowe cottage at 8 o'clock on Monday morning, conducted by Reb. Clara Morgan, pastor of the Universalist Church of which Mrs. Senior was a member. The remain were take on the 9:15 A.M. train to Phoenix where funeral services were held at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon.

There was a profusion of floral offering, including pieces from Silver Lake Lodge I.O.O.F. , Canton Erie of Buffalo, employees of the Robeson cutlery factory and flowers from a large number of individual friends of the family.
