REAL LIFE JOB & HOBBIES: I am a musician, a published composer and a recording artist- of sorts, as well as, choir director and music coordinator for my church; I also do Desktop publishing. Do I make any money doing any of this?? Nope! I volunteer all my time.  --  Hobbies, ummm, I collect lots of things... Ty Beanie Babies, Cuckoo Clocks, Ancestors... the list goes on. And I love computers!! My newest hobby is making computer graphics and learning HTML.

PERSONAL: I'm married and have 2 sons and 4 grandsons. I had been helping my husband Ben with his genealogy for a number of years and realized how little I knew about my own family... now I've got more information than he does. I became interested in the Civil War when I transcribed about 50 letters my husband's ggrandfather had written home to his wife during the war. I also discovered I have a gggrandfather who was in the Civil War. He has proven to be one of my brick walls. 

I discovered the American Civil War History Chat in April of 1997. The interaction with the hosts and the "faithful" was unbelievable. In the early part of 1998 I was invited to join the room in an "official" capacity and have been there ever since. I've learned more about the Civil War in the short time I've been in the chat than I did in the 50+ years prior.
