Betty J. Cape
Edgerton - Betty J. Cape, 68, Edgerton, died at her residence early Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1993. A lifelong area resident, she was employed as an assembler at Air-Way Manufacturing in Edgerton. Born in Williams County on Feb. 5, 1925, she was the daughter of Effie (McKenzie) and Jacob Stauffer. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Edgerton. Surviving are two sons, Charles of Denver, Colo., and Doyle B. of San Diego, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Al (Laura) Brooks of Raleigh, N.C., and Mrs. Michael (Babette) Hug of Edgerton; eight grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and three sisters, Mrs. Lois Thomas of Edgerton, Mrs. Ann Gier of Clausen, Mich., and Mrs. Madge Boucher of Bryan. Preceding her in death were two brothers; a sister; and a son, Kermit Michael "Mick" Cape in 1969.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, wtih the Rev. Father Robert Tucceri officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home, where the rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Roman D. Colyer (1934-2001)
Ney - Roman D. Colyer, 67, of Ney, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001, from injuries received in an auto accident. The son of Helen (Jaworski) and Etienne "Frenchie" Colyer, he was born in Jackson, Mich. on July 11, 1934. On Nov. 3, 1979, he married Mary A. Goebel, and she survives. He attended St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bryan and had retired after 40 years of service with Local 333 Plumbers & Pipefitters of Jackson, Mich. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Bryan and the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Bryan. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Christopher (and wife Marjan) Colyer of Coldwater, Mich; four daughters, Mrs. Bob (Mary) Daniels of Northville, Mich., Mrs. Paul (Susan) Franck, Mrs. Dennis (Julie) Wyatt and Mrs. Steve (Annette) Scarpino, all of Jackson, Mich.; three stepsons, Steven (Dee) Jerger of Olathe, Kan., Joseph (LuAnn) Jerger and Randy (Jeannie) Jerger, both of Bryan; 23 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents; and a grandaughter, Tara Jerger.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the Rice Funeral Home in Bryan, where a Rosary service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bryan, with the Rev. Charles Ritter officiating. Burial will follow in Ney Cemetery in Ney. Memorials may be made to St. Patrick Building Fund or to an agency of the donor's choice.

Crowley, Floyd J., St. Joseph, Michigan.
Passed away 10:08 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1982 in St. Joseph, Mi. following a lingering illness. Age 79 years. He was born July 31, 1903, in Prairie du Chien, Wisc. He married Norma Lengst in 1927 in Chicago, Ill. She survives him. He also leaves four daughters and two sons, Mrs. John (Patricia) Clark, Saginaw; Mrs. Anthony (Joan) Rocchio, Kalamazoo; Mrs. David (Serena) Spear, St. Joseph; Mrs. Marvin (Judy) Bellin, Pittsburgh, Pa.; John R. Crowley, Manchester, Conn.; Floyd J. Crowley Jr., Detroit, Mi.; twenty-five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister and five brothers.
Funeral services took place 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, 1982 at St. Joseph Catholic Church and burial followed at Resurrection Cemetery in St. Joseph, Mi.

Cushing, Patricia Jean (Boesenecker), Pinckney, Michigan, Formerly of Frankenmuth.
Died Tuesday, August 3, 1993 at Harper Hospital in Detroit after a lingering illness. Age 39 years. Patricia was born Oct. 27, 1953. She married Kerry J. Cushing Aug. 15, 1987; he survives her. Patricia was graduated from Frankenmuth High School in 1971, Oakland Community College in 1986 where she was President of her Nursing Class, and had been employed as a registered Nurse at Huron Valley Hospital in Milford, Mich. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Pinckney, Mich., the National Assoc. of Orthopedic Nurses (NAON) Vizsias Club of America and the Mich. Vizsias Club. Surviving besides her husband Kerry are a son, Kolton J. Cushing, at home; her mother, Kathleen Frank, Prudenville; her sisters, Charmaine (Ted) Specht, Saginaw; Kimberly (Greg) Ross, Reese; and her grandparents, Clarence (Erna) Muehlfeld, Bridgeport, Nora Lange, Frankenmuth; a niece and nephew, Heath and Hillary Ross; several aunts, uncles and cousins, a god-mother, Phyllis Frank. Patricia was predeceased by her father, Donald W. Boesenecker, her step-father, Otto C. Frank and her god-mother, Margie Engel.
Memorial services will take place 7:00 p.m. Thursday at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, 7701 M-36, Hamburg, Mich. and also at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 6, 1993 at the Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth. Rev. C. Wm. Hoesman will officiate. Patricia's family will receive visitors at the funeral home in Frankenmuth on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Kolton J. Cushing Education Fund, or Trinity Lutheran Church, Pinckney, Mich. Private committal will take place at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church Cemetery, Frankenmuth, Mich.
